“Ven Gran Espiritu” Lyrics in English & Spanish

Journey south to travel high
Andean mountains kiss the sky
There is a woman made of love
Birth of the earth, hey high
She laid her manta on the ground
And offered up a sacred sound
And this is what I heard her sing
Straight to the mountain

Ven gran espiritu, abre el camino…
Aho gran espiritu, afuera y adentro…
Ven gran espiritu, abre el camino…
Aho gran espiritu, afuera y adentro…

Ven gran espiritu,
Aho gran espiritu,

A condor soared out of the clouds
And glided down to touch the ground
The woman stared into its eyes
No fear there
She said “Please take these seeds of peace
And scatter them from west to east
The time has come to unify these lands here.”

Ven gran espiritu, abre el camino
A la tierra de milagros
Ven gran espiritu, abre el camino
A la casa del sol
Aho gran espiritu, afuera adentro
Abriendo corazones
Aho gran espiritu, afuera adentro
Ong namo guru dev namo

Pajaro, pajaro, pajarillo
Vuela, vuela con amor
Pajaro, pajaro, pajarillo
Carry our prayers into the skies
Pajaro, pajaro, pajarillo
Vuela, vuela con amor
Pajaro, pajaro, pajarillo
Carry us up into the skies

(Interlude)

Carry us up into the skies

Seeing through the eyes of the Most High…
Seeing through the eyes of the Most High…
Seeing through the eyes of the Most High…
Seeing through the eyes of the Most High…

Pajaro, pajaro, pajarillo
Pajaro, pajaro, pajarillo
Pajaro, pajaro, pajarillo
Pajaro, pajaro, pajarillo
Carry us up into the skies

Ven gran espiritu, abre el camino…
Aho gran espiritu, afuera y adentro…
Ven gran espiritu, abre el camino…
Aho gran espiritu, afuera y adentro…

Ven gran espiritu, abre el camino…
Aho gran espiritu, afuera y adentro…
Ven gran espiritu, abre el camino…
Aho gran espiritu, afuera y adentro…

Ven gran espiritu, abre el camino…
Aho gran espiritu, afuera y adentro…
Ven gran espiritu, abre el camino…
Aho gran espiritu, afuera y adentro…

“Ven Gran Espiritu” Lyrics in English

Andean mountains kiss the sky
There is a woman made of love
Birth of the earth, hey high
She laid her manta on the ground
And offered up a sacred sound
And this is what I heard her sing
Straight to the mountain

Come great spirit, open the way …
Aho great spirit, outside and inside …
Come great spirit, open the way …
Aho great spirit, outside and inside …

Come great spirit,
Aho great spirit,

Come great spirit,
Aho great spirit,
A condor soared out of the clouds
And glided down to touch the ground
The woman stared into its eyes
No fear there
She said “Please take these seeds of peace
And scatter them from west to east
The time has come to unify these lands here.”

Come great spirit, open the way
To the land of miracles
Come great spirit, open the way
To the house of the sun
Aho great spirit, outside in
Opening hearts
Aho great spirit, outside in
Ong namo guru dev namo

Bird, bird, bird
Fly, fly with love
Bird, bird, bird
Carry our prayers into the skies
Bird, bird, bird
Fly, fly with love
Bird, bird, bird
Carry us up into the skies

(Interlude)

Carry us up into the skies

Seeing through the eyes of the Most High…
Seeing through the eyes of the Most High…
Seeing through the eyes of the Most High…
Seeing through the eyes of the Most High…

Bird, bird, bird
Bird, bird, bird
Bird, bird, bird
Bird, bird, bird
Carry us up into the skies

Come great spirit, open the way …
Aho great spirit, outside and inside …
Come great spirit, open the way …
Aho great spirit, outside and inside …

About Pachamantra Vol. 1

Pachamantra Vol. 1 is medicine music to move to, an uplifting musical prayer rooted in reverence for the Earth.

The organic-electronic sound weaves Raio’s prayerful vocals with his afro-inflected guitar lines, kamel’ngoni grooves, tribal percussion, and electronic production. Storytelling from an ancient-future, where choruses becomes mantras from the temples of mountain, forest, and sea. The music dances along ancestral terraces into modern sanctuaries: technology and nature in harmonic alliance.

The album reflects Raio’s path as a man who, like so many of his generation, remembered a profound universal connection with earth and spirit via extended journeys into the medicine lands of South America and musically rich villages of Africa. He sings for la Pachamama, honoring tradition with a voice and sound authentically his own.

About Raio

Raio is a sacred chant artist, ecstatic dance DJ, singer-songwriter, producer, and student of the sacred. He is also known by the name Rob Weber. He moved to Bali in 2005 to play music and start a vibrant life with his new family. There on the beautiful island, he discovered that the Balinese integrate ritual and celebration into every aspect of their daily lives, which became an inspiration for him for the Bali Spirit Festival.

Before envisioning the event years ago, he and his team noticed that Balinese people are constantly putting on what essentially amounts to a festival. They have ongoing ceremonial events that involved music, dance, collective energy, vending, food and healing – within their own tradition. Raio’s festival grew to embody a nexus of spiritually progressive Western and more traditional Balinese ritualistic model. There are a number of other Spirit Festivals now so the vision has now evolved into a world of “Spirit Festival” movement.

The island enriches the heart and inspires happiness for its visitors. The Bali Spirit Festival just builds on that by focusing on the human potential of what can be created when that happiness is charged and allowed to spread. Every year, people still say that they have life-changing experiences. If feeds Raio to feel the support of the community and he operates on a higher vibration for several days. It’s hard for him to ignore the heart to heart connections.

In his down time, Raio likes to swim in the fresh water, river side pool at his hill side Ubud home, or sit with his headphones on producing tracks for various visiting artists. He spends a lot of his time with one of his bands, Susu Ibu. Raio performs annually at the Bali Spirit Festival and other venues around the island, including Deus. He also likes to spend time with his son, the Ninja. Robert Weber is the co-founder and director of Music of Bali Spirit Festival.
